The World Of Overthinkers

Welcome to the world of overthinkers.
These are the most blessed as well as the cursed creatures.

Thinking is an attribute of human entity.
However, overthinking is a trait of empathy and sensitivity.

The replay option comes free with these souls, by default.
This button stops in a tape recorder, when the power is cut off.

But the replay continues in their mind till they are asleep.
In the core of situations and people, they dive hard and deep.

Why? How? When? These are their favorite words to begin with.
They don’t rest till they measure a situation’s depth and width.

I wish I would have reacted or talked differently to him or her.
This thought is undoubtedly a common one for an overthinker.

The curse to remember reminds them of a thing that occurred ages ago.
The next-to-impossible traits for them are forgetting and letting go.

To move on is the last thing they can do.
They can keep pondering and regretting without even a clue.

Even when they sleep, their minds are awake.
Their subconscious never thinks of taking a break.

A soul is blessed when it can feel others’ pain.
But the blessing becomes a curse when it bleeds after someone else gets maimed.

The hurt others suffer touches the overthinkers, too.
They mourn and think even when they have no clue.

People keep watches, jewels, and clothes as accessories.
The overthinkers cherish memories, scars, and questions in their treasuries.

Hurt overthinkers once, and till eternity, they carry it honestly, helplessly.
The reason behind this hurt is analysed and dissected continually, hopelessly.

These overthinkers don’t need much advice or help.
They only require an empathetic heart to bring them out of their shells.

If you encounter an overthinker, stand for them and be with them in joy or pain.
You may never find such a gem again.
