Not-So-Bitter Karela Crisps

Hello everyone. Are any bitter gourd lovers out there? If yes, then here is a super simple recipe made from the not-much-liked, bitter gourd (karela). Its name is Not-So-Bitter Karela Crisps. Let us begin.

Ingredients :

Two medium bitter gourds

1 1/2 Tsp Chaat Masala

1 Tsp Amchur (Dry mango) powder

One Lemon

Salt as required

Oil for frying

Method :

Peel the bitter gourds. Slit each in the centre.

Now slice them by fitting into one another. This will reduce the time for this work. Cut them into thin slices.

Heat oil in a kadai. After it becomes hot, reduce it to a low flame.

Fry them till light brown.

Remove on a tissue paper so that excess oil is absorbed into it. Now transfer them to a bowl. Add chaat masala, salt, and amchur powder. Toss the karela crisps so as to coat the crisps properly with spices and salt.

Eat when hot. Just before eating sprinkle a little lemon juice. If you sprinkle from first, they will become wet and lose their crisp texture. Enjoy this simple recipe of not-so-bitter karela crisps.
