Selective Outbursts

The most unfair behavioral pattern in humans is selective outbursts. Selective means choosing voluntarily, in your full senses, how to behave with a particular person. Outburst is an eruption of feelings, usually happening upon unfulfillment of a desired response.

From those days when I used to work for earning, till date, I have observed my this particular behaviour. If my family member behaves or reacts in a way, not expected or desired by me, I burst out on them. Shout, become angry and question them about why they did so. But, on the contrary, if my employer did the same, I would just accept, feel bad may be and leave from the scenario.

Isn’t it ridiculous? Same person behaving in two entirely different ways for the same situation. I think many of us have this behavioral pattern. We choose how to react with which person in advance. And don’t even question ouselves for this strange act. Just because we have owned it.

If you think deep, this is not acceptable, at all. Even now I do the same. I let out my fiery, ugly emotions on my family members. Because I know, they are and will be there for me. If I would do the same in my work place, I will be fired. Or atleast be warned stritcly. So smartly, I choose to behave wisely. Even smile at times, take it as a situational humour and let go.

If anyone out there does this and even not feel an ounce of guilt, please think over. It’s just not right. Just because someone accepts and continues to be with you, do not take that person for granted. Because, they won’t leave you. And will contunue to love you, unconditionally, always.

After all, Sonu Nigam has sung so apt in a song these wise words, Chaahe jo tumhe poore dil se, milta hai wo mushkil se… Aisa jo koi kahin hai, bas wo hi sab se haseen hai… Us haath ko tum thaam lo, wo meherbaan kal ho na ho…

Meaning, the one who loves you unconditionally is found rarely. If you have someone like this, that person is the most beautiful. Catch hold of that person’s hand, may be that person will not be with you, tomorrow.
