What Happens Is For Good?

I grew up listening to, ‘Everything Happens for Good’.
I spent my life testing this idiom, but with no fruit.

When I see the wrongdoers roaming free,
The phrase, whatever happened was for good, goes on a spree.

After witnessing the innocent suffering silently,
How do they convince themselves, that what happened is for the good, practically?

Life was spent walking the paths of truth and honesty.
Following the words, what happens is for good, carrying in the heart wisdom and modesty.

Does it happen in reality?
I have seen good humans living dejected, and with humility.

Ask someone who has suffered, despite not being at fault,
When he stood helpless, alone on the dock, people enjoyed his humiliation and assault.

Now, I have lost faith in what happens is for someone’s goodness.
Often, a person loses their identity in proving their innocence.

Everyone lives wearing a mask, some as a messiah and some as a leader.
They mislead people by saying, what happens is for the best, each one is such a deceiver.

Let us accept, that what happens is for the good, is not always right.
A heart free of this phrase, will at least save itself from agony and fright.
