Her Abductor – 5th Chapter

“Excuse me.”
Hearing Samiksha’s impatient tone, the man kept his phone in his pocket. Taking his time, he slowly turned back.
Six feet, maybe more. Lean, well-built physique. Goggles on his eyes. One hand was in his pocket and the other lying majestically by his side. An expensive suit adorned by a matching tie. Royalty and magnificence defined his persona. His beard added to his masculine aura. He removed his glares and looked straight into Samiksha’s eyes.

Samiksha folded her hands across her chest and returned back his stare.
“Why am I here?”
He gave her the same calm, cold look.
“Hello. I am talking to you. Why am I brought forcefully here? I want to go back to my family. They will be worried like hell for me. And . . .”
“Shh.” He silenced her by pointing his index finger.

“You are abducted

as someone has assigned this job to us.”
“What?”
“Do you have hearing issues?”
“What do you mean by someone?”
“It’s obvious that we won’t disclose that. You must stay here until we receive instructions to set you free.”
“And what makes you think I will stay here?”
He continued,
“Fine. Go back.”

“You are so pathetic. You have scattered your henchmen from one end to the other. And beyond that, you instruct me to run from here.”
“It’s you who said that you won’t stay here. Not I.”
Despite Samiksha’s hatred and anger for him, she knew she couldn’t do anything.

“Don’t worry.

Your virtue is safe here. Now go to your room. Needless to say, your needs will be taken care of.”
“Oh really? Then what about my need to see my Mom and my Dad? Can you take care of it?”

“You don’t get everything, Samiksha. Life is not that fair. You are safe here. Is that not enough for you?”
She hurried towards him and caught him by his shoulders.
“No, it is not. Send me back to my parents.”

Freeing his shoulders from the grip of her hands, he held her hands for a minute.
“Don’t do that again.”
“What will you do? Harm me?”
“No. After receiving your release instructions, you will stay here for an extra week. Do you want that?”
Samiksha turned back in anger and walked towards the door.
“You will pay for this.”

As Samiksha paced away angrily from the chamber, she overheard his words.
“I always do.”

As she stepped out, Sandra spoke.
“May we leave?”
“Yes.” Samiksha said this and walked with her towards her room. Annoyed and helpless, her brain was now tired.

After dinner,

Sandra asked her, “How did you feel after meeting him?”
“What do you mean? You expect me to rejoice and dance?”
“I thought you wanted to speak to him.”
“I wanted to question him. Why am I here?”
“So, did you get your answers?”
“You think so? He refused to tell me who instructed to bring me here, this way.”
“What? Did he tell you that someone asked to do this with you? He does not talk to anyone about these details. Trust me.”

“What is the big deal? He is bound to give explanations to all those he has captivated.”
“It’s his work.”
Samkisha burst into sarcastic laughter.
“Work. Abducting people against their will and captivating them. You call this work?”
“Well, I thought you might have seen his positive side too. Anyways, sleep now.”

“Positive side? You must be joking.”
“No, I am not. Remember one thing. Sometimes, the truth totally differs from what we see, hear or believe. Good night.”

Samiksha lay down on the vast bed. She looked up at the ceiling with blank eyes. The vintage, beautiful, mystic carvings on it did not attract her anymore. Her brain was too drained for any thoughts to enter or leave. Yet one peeped in slowly.

His face looks familiar. Have I seen him before? If yes, then where? When?
