Money!

A person with a satisfied soul sleeps better than one with a satisfied wallet.

This beautiful sentence was from a lovely film, Saath Saath, released in 1982. It says a person should have that much money with him per his needs. Possessing more funds than needed makes one greedy and selfish. First, ‘needs’ refers to basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter. Haven’t we grown up listening to this? These are our basic needs. But as years pass by, we start locking virtues like satisfaction, wisdom, and patience one by one in a locker. Not only this, we make sure to forget the location of this key.

Money Doesn’t Impart Values And Morals

Yes friends it is important to forget this key if you wish to lead a luxurious, carefree, branded life.

When I started earning money

it made me independent and confident. It is OK to use education and experience to earn money. But it is not OK to forget those who helped us get educated. People conveniently forget these aspects and embark on a non-returnable journey of pleasure, comforts and a lavish lifestyle. Money becomes the means of pleasure for such people. They forget that money is just a means to fulfil the basic needs of life.

My finger is not pointing towards people earning more than they need. The question is, do they think of those in need even for a second? The answer is no. Of course, there are a handful of those who do. Thankfully, maybe the world is still stable because of such selfless souls.

Act now.

As they say, it’s now or never. If you are blessed with abundant money in your wallet and in your safe and are blessed with good fortune, please learn to give. Because when we offer, we get. Make that grip on your wallet a little looser so that the less fortunate ones smile, too. When humans learn this simple way of leading a peaceful life, there will be more Ambanis, Tatas, Birlas, and Bachhans in society. (Kindly note the first letter of these names in small cases is not a typing error.) The ultimate myth many humans have is that running towards spirituality helps turn our troubled souls into peaceful spirits. But it is a ‘myth’. To attain peace, dare to give it first to a disturbed soul. You will ultimately obtain yours.

Finally, let us remember a beautiful thought: We came into this world with nothing and shall leave with nothing, either. You know, a person with a satisfied soul sleeps better than one with a satisfied wallet. True, isn’t it?
