For Chutney Lovers

The sound of the word ‘chutney‘ is mouth-watering and irresistible for fast food lovers. This one dish can be enjoyed with hundreds of other foods. A samosa or batata wada without chutney is just unimaginable. Idli and dosa are lonesomes without their sibling – Chutney.

So here are three variations of chutneys which you can relish as per the recipe.

For tempering,
Two Dry red chillies

👉White Coconut chutney

1 to 2 Green chillies

1/2 Tsp Jeera

8 to 10 Roasted chana or peanuts

1/2 Inch ginger

2 Cloves of garlic

For tempering :

1 Tbsp Oil

Two Dry red chillies

1 Tsp Mustard seeds

Few Curry leaves(7 to 8)

Method :

Take all ingredients in a mixer container and grind. Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Temper it with oil, mustard seeds, dry red chillies and curry leaves.

Ingredients :

5 to 6 Tamarinds (Increase the quantity if you like more tangy taste)

10 to 15 Seedless Dates

Two around One Inch Jaggery Pieces

Method :

Soak tamarinds in water for nearly 20 minutes. Grind them well with your fingers and strain the pulp to separate the seeds and other parts.

In a mixer, put dates, tamarind pulp and jaggery pieces. Grind the mixture.

Heat a kadai. Pour the mixture into it and keep stirring so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the kadai. When the colour of this mixture changes to dark brown, turn off the gas and remove the kadai. Let the mixture cool.

As I said the word chutney is mouth-watering and irresistible, so don’t waste time. Prepare some super yummy snacks and enjoy them with yummy chutneys.

Enjoy this tamarind and date chutney with samosa, batata wada, kachori, pakoda etc. 😋😋😋
The green and white chutneys can be relished with idlis, dosas, dhoklas, cutlets etc. 😋😋😋
