Intentions

When we say, act, or do something, the act may or may not be liked by the other person or people involved. But if the intentions are right, one person is sure to gain satisfaction—that is me. Ultimately, I know the intention behind my actions.

So, no matter how good the action might be, it is irrelevant if it is done with an incorrect intention. In other words, doesn’t serve its purpose. For example, I gift someone a thing and make sure he or she knows how much I have spent on the gift. Do you think the whole act turned out right? I guess either gift someone with a true heart or just don’t.

So you see, even if an act might not appear correct to others, if its intention is right, it ultimately turns out right. Our actions may not always be approved or liked by others, but that doesn’t place us in the wrong light at all. It’s our mind that witnesses our intention. A right intention definitely brings peace to one person: me. So, if your heart knows that the intention is right, don’t worry. Relax.

The other side of the coin is,

that the intentions of the person in front of me matter equally. If my heart senses a wrong intention, it will alarm me. But sadly, we tend to ignore this alarm sign. We are in constant need of keeping people close to us, near us. We can’t bear the thought of losing them. So we fight and ignore the alarm sign of the wrong intention. It is not going to help in the long run, for sure.

People tend to fall for small joys and pleasures, ignoring the intentions behind them. We tend to nurture relationships that serve us no good but take away the most important things from us: time and energy. As a result, the ultimate sufferer is our soul.

Give Your Love, Not The Cost Of The Gift

Ask yourself, ‘Is the motive behind this act selfless or done with a pure heart?’ If the answer is “no, you know what to do.

Next time, heed the slightest of alarms to prevent more significant mishaps. If you find people taking advantage of you, putting you down to satisfy the fun quotient in their lives, just stay away. Energy drainers appear normal to us. But the moment we come into their circle, our mind knows. As it senses the wrong intentions instantly. Some people have a habit of exchanging glances with similar people. They mock you so that it would go unnoticed if you are not like them. Such people use others for entertainment and to pass the time.

You must have the guts and wisdom to say ‘no’ to or stay away from such people or even things. By things I mean, there are some which drain our energy even if non-intentionally. A simple solution is to stay away. It is definitely possible if we put a little effort from our side. Ultimately, it is to protect our energy and promote self-care.

Finally, we know now that the intention behind our actions makes a difference. So, keep an eye on the intentions of others and, most importantly, your own.
